ABOUT THE ROLE

The Marketing Assistant will work with the Head of Marketing and Digital Marketing Manager to develop and deliver marketing campaigns for the Carriageworks program. You will be a strategic thinker with a passion for content-led campaigns. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with a strong sense of design and attention to detail. You will be briefing photographers and printers, and trafficking approvals with internal and external stakeholders and securing cross-promotional opportunities with partner networks. As critical support to the Marketing and Communication team, you will be highly organised with excellent administration skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Digital Marketing Manager across email, web and social media activities for both the Carriageworks and Carriageworks Farmers Market channels
Coordinate the design, approvals, production and distribution of on-site signage
Manage the creation of event invitations and plan your visit communications
Manage and maintain niche marketing lists and co-ordinate cross-promotional opportunities
Co-ordinate the production and approval of event programs
Assist with the briefing and booking of photographers for event documentation and promotional purposes, including timely provision of images
Co-ordinate the Carriageworks quarterly neighbourhood mail-out
Compile and disseminate post-campaign reports and monthly media reports
Maintain filing of images and marketing content for archival purposes and media
Assist the Marketing Department with other administrative duties as required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

Demonstrated experience in delivering marketing campaigns within an arts and culture environment
Experience working with designers, printers and photographers
Experience proofing artwork and trafficking feedback and approvals
A tertiary qualification in the arts, marketing or a relevant discipline
Flexible approach to working hours

HIGHLY DESIRABLE

A strong knowledge of the Sydney arts and cultural landscape
An active interest in Social Media and broader digital experiences
Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
