The Role
Due to growth we have a graduate full stack developer role based at our Sydney CBD office working with state-of-the art tools and technologies on a number of exciting projects;
As you build your skills the role will ultimately be primarily focused around building and supporting both the BindIT and BORIS platforms.
BindIT is a broker quoting portal where we currently offer IT Liability and Management Liability Insurance products and are looking to add 2 additional products within the next year.
It is hosted in Azure and is built with Angular, ASP.NET Core, Azure B2C, CosmosDB and Azure Service Bus.IT
BORIS is an primarily an underwriting referral actioning platform which handles pricing, quoting, binding, endorsing, cancelling and renewing products both from our BindIT platform as well as from the Steadfast Client Trading Platform (SCTP). For SCTP we additionally offer General Liability and Professional Liability Indemnity Insurance Products.
It is hosted On-Premise and is built with Angular, ASP.NET Core, DotNet Core, MSSQL Server and RabbitMQ.
You will be performing tasks as necessary to design, create, maintain and support these enterprise web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret specifications, technical designs and flow charts
Manage software development lifecycle
Contribute to development procedures, guidelines and standards
The successful candidate
Essential;
Completed or interested in studying a Computer Science, or equivalent, qualification
Knowledge in Object-Oriented Programming languages
Development experience in Microsoft web technology stack (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, WebAPI)
Working experience or exposure in any of the following advantageous;
Web mark-up, including HTML, CSS and pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
TypeScript, JavaScript and frameworks including Angular
Azure Cloud Services
Unit testing platforms such as xUnit and nUnit
Relational database concepts, design and SQL
Client software such as Visual Studio, Windows and Office
Server software such as SonarQube, TFS/Git, SQL and IIS
Great soft skills to have
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated problem-solving skills in systems design
