Job Description
Based in North Sydney, we currently have an opening for a Paralegal to join our Legal & Contracts team. This role is also be suitable for individual looking for flexibility and part time work (at least 4 days per week).

Using your strong administration and paralegal knowledge, you will be key contact within the team and liaising with project officers, project managers and legal to ensure MLA’s standard terms or approved third party terms are applied within MLA guidelines

Other key responsibilities of this role will include;

Accurately record and manage information in the company’s contracts/projects management system.
Facilitate MLA internal legal approval of contracts in MLA’s systems.
Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders in relation to the progress of their projects and contracts.
Ensure all legal documents meet MLA’s internal approvals.
Provide solution-oriented advice and recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders concerning all aspects contract administration.
Assist the Contracts Manager with training new Contracts team members on systems used, processes and policies for effective project and contract support

Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate must:

Essential:

Be a current law student or have legal qualifications
Desired (but not essential):

Current paralegal experience in an in-house environment would be highly regarded.
Experience using SharePoint, SAP or another commercial Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
