We’re searching for a Billing & Collections Specialist either a Finance /Accounting Graduate or someone with Experience in Australia to help us invoice, collect, and reconcile payments and disputes with some of Australia’s biggest energy companies. You’ll also support other parts of the Accounts Receivable function across Energy Action’s debtor portfolio in a critical cash function.

The successful candidate will be a detail orientated person who’s great at excel, has an understanding of the accounts receivable function and isn’t scared to talk to customers to resolve any invoicing disputes or issues.

Key Responsibilities

Invoice customers on time each month
Follow up and resolve aged and disputed invoices both internal and with external customers
Reconcile and resolve high volume of transitions and reconciliations
Largely Excel based competency – pivot tables, VLOOKUP, sumif, linking files
Work in operational systems including Microsoft NAV and CRM
Project management – driving outcomes to conclusion
Supporting audit process and sample testing
Day-to-day operations of the accounts function as required
Reporting of accounts receivable KPI’s and results

You have either experience or wanting to develop a career and learn

the end-to-end order to collection process
Advanced excel experience
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, analytical & administrative skills
Strong administrative and procedural experience
Problem solving, escalation and conflict resolution skills
An eye for accuracy and attention to detail
Great communication skills both verbal and written
Desirable

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Accounting
At least 2 years demonstrated experience in a collections role.
